    September 2025 IATSE and Teamsters Rate Increases

    The end of September marks the start of the new contract year for some Union Term Agreements, including the following: IATSE Videotape Electronics Agreement, IATSE Local 52 Majors Agreement, IATSE Local 52 Supplemental Digital Agreement, IATSE Local 161 Supplemental Digital Agreement, IATSE Local 764 Supplemental Digital Agreement, IATSE Local 798 Supplemental Digital Agreement, IATSE Local USA 829 Majors Agreement, Teamsters 399 & 817 Casting Directors Agreement, and Teamsters 817 Locations Agreement.

    Effective September 28, 2025, these major entertainment industry union agreements will implement 4% wage increases and updated benefit contribution rates. Below are detailed changes for each agreement, including new MPIPHP pension & health rates and IATSE Area Standards increases.

    Wages

    Wages for the following agreements increase by 4% effective September 28, 2025. Note: Any minimum rates based on a percentage of the basic rate will also increase.

    Benefits

    MPIPHP Rate Increases

    • Effective September 28, 2025: the Pension & Health Premium Rate Groups 37 & 17 increase from $14.0275 per hour to $14.8875 per hour. Note: This is the rate charged for most independent signatory companies.
    • Effective September 28, 2025: the Pension & Health Basic Rate Group 100, 107, and 18 increases from $9.5175 per hour to $9.9675 per hour. Note: This is the rate charged for major studio signatory companies that are considered $15 million contributors.

    The above increases will affect any single project agreements for the unions below that utilize the basic agreement MPIPHP rates.

    • Effective September 28, 2025: Increases from $175.00 per day to $190.00 per day

    IATSE USA 829 Majors Agreement Benefit Increases

    • Theatrical Motion Pictures:
      • On Call Employees: Effective September 28, 2025: Increases from $175.00 plus 5.5% per day to $190.00 plus 5.5% per day
      • Hourly Employees: Increases from $161.50 plus 5.5% per day to $176.50 plus 5.5% per day
    • Television Motion Pictures
      • On Call Employees: Effective September 28, 2025: Increases from $175.00 per day to $190.00 per day
      • Hourly Employees: Increases from $161.50 per day to $176.50 per day

    On Call Art Department Coordinators and Costume Department Coordinators

    • On Call Employees (*Art Department Coordinators can only be On Call): Effective September 28, 2025: Increases from $178.50 per day to $190.00 per day
