2025 SAG-AFTRA and DGA Ratified Contract Changes and Effective Dates

July 1, 2025 marks the new contract year for both SAG-AFTRA and DGA. Below is a summary of the changes happening this contract year.
SAG-AFTRA:
Wages
Minimum Pay Rates for the SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic and SAG-AFTRA Television Agreements
- Effective July 1, 2025: 3.5% increase except as listed below
- Effective July 1, 2025: 5% increase for stunt coordinators under a “flat deal” contract on television motion pictures
Note: Any minimum rates based on a percentage of the basic rate will also increase.
Pension & Health
There is no change in this contract year to the pension and health percentages.
Per Diem- Effective December 7, 2025: Increases from $70 per day to $75 per day
- Meals provided by the producer can be deducted from this rate at the below rates:
- Breakfast: $16.00
- Lunch: $22.00
- Dinner: $37.00
DGA
Note: Directors that start on a project prior to July 1, 2025 are not subject to the below rate increases. However, unit production managers and assistant directors under the Basic Agreement, and associate directors and stage managers under the Freelance Live and Tape Television Agreement (FLTTA), are subject to these increases regardless of start date.
Wages
Minimum Pay Rates under the DGA Basic and FLTTA Agreements
- Effective July 1, 2025: 3.5% increase for all positions, except as listed below
- Effective July 1, 2025: 1.5% increase for directors of pay television motion pictures (other than pay-per-view) generally produced for network prime time television and directors of High Budget SVOD
- Effective July 1, 2025: 3% increase for directors of strip dramatic non-network and non-prime time programs (Article 6, Section D.1. of the FLTTA)
Pension & Health
- Effective July 1, 2025: 0.5% overall P&H increase from 19.5% to 20% as allocated below:
- Health: 11.25%
- Pension: 8.75%
- Effective July 1, 2025: Eligible employees will be provided benefits for parental leave taken within 1 year of the birth, adoption or placement of the employee’s foster child.
- The Paid Parental Leave percentage does not increase and remains at 0.5%
- The Paid Parental Leave percentage does not increase and remains at 0.5%
