4 Easy Ways to Go Green with GreenSlate

Here are a few easy ways you can help us go green, and do your part to preserve the planet in the process:

• Use our handy mobile app, now available for free download on both iOS and Android devices, to save time and paper by managing startwork and timecards electronically.
  • Crew members input their startwork information on the app only once, after which the information remains on file with GreenSlate for all future productions.
  • Digital timecards are easy to read—and if crew is working on a weekly show, they can just copy and paste their hours each week, with no need to fill out the individual day.

• Print smart: Use both sides of 100% recycled paper when possible, and only print the pages you need. It’s not necessary to waste paper on the following:
  • The second, third, and fourth pages of the 2018 Form W-4 (instructions and a worksheet to calculate deductions)
  • The third page of the I-9 (an employee guide to valid forms of ID)

• Ask your paymaster about on-site printing, which lets you print and distribute your own payroll checks. It’s easy, convenient, and also significantly lowers your carbon footprint.

• Always tape petty cash receipts to scrap paper.
