Teamsters Local 817 MOA Changes and Updates
Teamsters Local 817 has ratified their Locations Agreement, which becomes effective retroactive to July 1, 2020 and expires September 30, 2021. We have outlined the changes below, which will assist in updating your budgets and calculating employee benefits and requirements when hiring for future productions.
Elimination of Article 14 – Special Conditions for Entry-Level Location Assistants
Benefits will be required on behalf of all individuals employed as a Location Assistant on or after January 1, 2021 pursuant to Article 11 (Health and Welfare & Pension Contributions), Article 12 (Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans) and Article 13 (MPIPHP IAP), regardless of the number of days that individual has worked as a Location Assistant.
New Fringe Rate
The MPI Individual Account Plan under Article 13 increased by 0.5% from 2.0% to 2.5%.
New Minimum Hourly Wage Rates

Update to Article 16 - Waiver of NY Earned Safe and Sick Time Act
The New York Waiver of Safe and Sick Time Act and similar laws now include both Safe and Sick time.
