Search Party Returns on HBO Max After Three-Year Hiatus
The all-new third season of comedy thriller Search Party finds the gang swept up in the trial of the century after Dory (Alia Shawkat) and Drew (John Reynolds) are charged for the semi-accidental murder of a private investigator, and (John Early) and Portia (Meredith Hagner) grapple with whether or not to testify as witnesses.
The Guardian’s Julia Raeside called season two of the show “a flawless millennial murder mystery.” Raeside said “The mystery is carefully spun out to keep you hooked, but you will also stay for the monstrous yet somehow beautifully nuanced characters.”
IndieWire’s Ben Travers described the show as a “taut, brooding, heart attack-on-TV,” claiming that Tolstoy’s principle “The pleasure lies not in discovering the truth, but in searching for it.” guides the series and that “this search is quite a pleasure.”
Search Party is executive produced by Sarah-Violet Bliss, Charles Rogers, Michael Showalter, and Jax Media’s Lilly Burns and Tony Hernandez.

“If you're not using GreenSlate for processing production payroll, then you're not thinking clearly. We run about 10–12 productions a year and have used several of their competitors. I've put off sharing this as I've truly felt they've been a competitive advantage.”
