Second Year of SAG-AFTRA Contract Increases Effective July 1, 2018
The second year of rate increases for SAG—approved overwhelmingly in a vote last August for new, three-year TV/Theatrical contracts—went into effect on July 1, 2018. The agreement is retroactive to July 1, 2017 and expires June 30, 2020.
Changes to SAG pension and health plans, as well as SAG pay rates, for the next year are as follows:
- SAG pay rates increased 2.5% as of 7/1/18. Any work done after 7/1 will be under this new rate.
- SAG P&W rates increased 0.5% as of 7/1/18. However, the new P&W rate only applies to projects that start principal photography after 7/1/18.
For more information about the changes, see the SAG-AFTRA Theatrical Wage Tables and SAG-AFTRA Television Agreement Wage Tables. If you have any questions regarding these increases, please contact us.
