Going Digital: Four Tips for U.S. Crew Members

It hasn’t been easy, but productions have adapted quickly to Covid protocols and zones on set. Crew members are completing all their start work forms digitally, submitting timecards via their phones and even managing expenses. Shedding paper and going digital has real advantages that let the crew help themselves anytime. Here are four additional ways crews using GreenSlate can avoid unnecessary contact, access production information and manage their payroll information remotely.

Download the GreenSlate app for iOS or Android to easily access your account from  anywhere. For even easier access, enable touch ID/face recognition (if applicable - you must have touch ID or face recognition features enabled on your device).

Opt in for digital tax documents to easily receive your documents. Doing so will eliminate the possibility of your documents getting lost in the mail and will also reduce paper and help the environment.

Enroll for direct deposit to skip the bank and the paper checks. When you sign up for direct deposit, you eliminate the possibility of your check getting lost or stolen, and you’ll know when you receive your funds with notifications from your bank. No voided check, additional deposit, or approval is required, and payment settings apply to all GreenSlate projects, so you only need to set up direct deposit once.

Access payroll history and production information through the GreenSlate app. In the app, you can view, download, and print individual pay stubs. You can also access digital timecards, check copies, and personal info, and see production notes, last minute updates, or schedule changes on the project dashboard.
