Charlie Kaufman Directed 'I’m Thinking of Ending Things' Coming to Netflix
I’m Thinking of Ending Things chronicles a young woman’s trip with her new boyfriend to meet his parents at their secluded farm. Upon arriving, nothing is as it seems and she comes to question everything she thought she knew about him, and herself.
Oscar winner Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Being John Malkovich) wrote and directed this story of loneliness and regret based on Iain Reid's bestselling novel.
The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw calls the film “another superb nightmare courtesy of Charlie Kaufman” and a “surreal, disquieting and sometimes extraordinary drama,” IndieWire’s David Ehrlich gave the film an A rating, calling the film a “brilliant existential Netflix drama” that “defies every convention,” and The Hollywood Reporter’s David Rooney says “on many levels it's a bold, brilliant work, uncompromising in its darkness and distinguished by rigorously committed performances from a superb principal cast.”
The film was produced by Stefanie Azpiazu, Anthony Bregman, Charlie Kaufman, Matt Levin, Iain Reid, Robert Salerno, and Gregory Zuk, and stars Jessie Buckley, Jesse Plemons, and Toni Collette.
I’m Thinking of Ending Things premieres on September 4, 2020.

“If you're not using GreenSlate for processing production payroll, then you're not thinking clearly. We run about 10–12 productions a year and have used several of their competitors. I've put off sharing this as I've truly felt they've been a competitive advantage.”
