On March 31, 2023, the movie “A Thousand and One” hits theaters. The film debuted at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, winning The U.S. Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic. Now, everyone has the chance to see this compelling story in theaters.
“A Thousand and One” is the story of free-spirited Inez, played by Teyana Taylor. The movie is set in the 1990s in New York City.
After getting out of jail, Inez moves from shelter to shelter while her son is in foster care. Not wanting to leave him again, she kidnaps him so they can build a life together. Together, they set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity, and stability.
